Do you write the captions or do I?

I do. They come styled to the channel, either burned in or as an SRT if you'd rather upload them yourself.

Can you cut shorts from videos I've already published?

Yes. Back catalog is usually the cheapest content a channel has, because the footage is already paid for.

What do you need to start?

The footage, any music or brand assets you want used, and links to two or three videos whose style you like. That's enough.

Short-form and long-form

I cut long-form for YouTube and short-form for Reels, Shorts and TikTok. They're different problems. Long-form is about structure and pace, mostly cutting the parts where someone would leave. Short-form is about the first second.

I'd rather do both for one channel than one of them for two, because that's how a channel ends up looking like it came from the same place.
